On 13 June, liturgical feast of Saint Anthony of Padova, a solemn Eucharistic celebration was held in the church of Saint Saviour in Jerusalem, in honour of this saint, who is venerated as the Special Patron of the Holy Land Custody.

The Mass was presided by the Custos of the Holy Land, Fr. Pierbattista Pizzaballa.  Also present at the celebration was His Grace Mgr. Kamal Bathish, Auxiliary Bishop of Jerusalem, who represented the Latin Patriarch, His Beatitude Mgr. Michel Sabbah.

Also present as guests during the Mass were the representatives of the various Orthodox Churches of Jerusalem.  Besides many friars of the Custody who came from nearby friaries, the Mass was also concelebrated by two Bishops.  The singing was done by the choir of Saint Saviour.

After the religious celebration there the guests were invited for refreshments in the courtyard of the ex-Orphanage.  This was followed by a fraternal lunch in the dining hall of Saint Saviour's friary.  The feastday was concluded by solemn Vespers and the veneration of the relic of Saint Anthony.
