Today, the 2nd of February, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, the Poor Clares of Jerusalem received Marie Odile into the Novitiate. She became Sister Marie Christel de lAgneau Immole during the ceremony of the Investiture, which was part of the Holy Mass.
What joy for her to become a part of the Holy Land, in the heart of the Chosen People, where the Word of God was incarnated to redeem mankind. What joy for her to make her life a holy liturgy, offering herself to the Lamb of God and capable of being accepted to God. Is this not the true adoration that attracts many souls to Jesus? What beatitude for her to follow, in the footsteps of St. Francis, the Poor and Crucified Christ before singing the Canticle at the Wedding of the Lamb in the heavenly Jerusalem.
In the Novitiate, Sister Marie Christel, who is French, will be with a young Korean professed and also with an Israeli Novice. All three devote themselves to love in the manner of St. Clare and, together with their 13 professed Poor Clares of diverse nationalities, all are deeply moved by the Holy Land and for Jerusalem in particular.
