TO ALL FAITHFUL OF JERUSALEM • 21.4.2005
|
Jerusalem, Wednesday 19 April 2005
Prot. B-0220/05
To All the Faithful of Jerusalem
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Together with all the Christians we would like to share the joy of the election of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger as Pope Benedict XVI; even though a brief passage of time separates the deep sadness felt at the death of Pope John Paul II, we must continue with a renewed sense of commitment our path of following Christ in the Holy Land.
* All the faithful are invited to participate at a Solemn High Mass to invoke God’s grace for the newly elected pontiff. His Eminence, Mons Michel Sabbah, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem will preside at the Holy Sepulchre ceremony Friday 22 April 2005 at 10;30.
* Also, the Most Reverend Father Custodian of the Holy Land and the Franciscan parish priest of Jerusalem invite all members of religious communities and the faithful to participate at a Solemn High Mass that will be celebrated at St. Savior’s parish church on Sunday 8 May 2005 at 9;00.
Fraternally
Fra Stephane MILOVITCH OFM
Secretary of the Custody of the Holy Land
